I, John Herringham, of Greenwich, Kent, make this my last will and testament. I desire to be buried in the burying ground closest to where I die and there be as little expense on my funeral as possible. To Elizabeth Browne, housekeeper, £50 and choice of one of the beds in the room over the kitchen, together with furniture and three pair of sheets. To Alice Browne, sister of the above Elizabeth Browne, three guineas to purchase mourning exclusive of the wages that may be due her. The residue of my estate to my dear nephew William Herringham of Grayes whom I appoint as sole executor.[1]
