The following information adds to the details given in The National Archives' Catalogue for HO 107

HO 107 is the series under which the enumerators' returns for both the 1841 and 1851 censuses of population in England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are indexed. Later census returns can be found in RG 9, RG 10, RG 11, RG 12, RG 13, RG 14, RG 15, RG 16 and RG 17. The National Archives is in the process of uploading street indexes for the 1841-1891 censuses to Your Archives.

Within the series the piece numbers up to and including 1465 cover the 1841 census and the piece numbers from 1466 to 2531 cover the 1851 census.
